This story is a one in a million, the whole story is describing the character of a guy called Luke, I am ensured that some of you may perhaps find it Sarcastically Prosaic but I kind of enjoyed it (Those of you who hate description won’t really like it).
Fernando is telling us about the sweetest friend he had ever had, his name is Luke (as the title indicates it) and he is forty, he is short and skinny with a thin moustache and a thinner hair on his head and he wars round and framed glasses. He walks down the streets like nobody does, he always walks sideways and when he wants to pass, instead of saying excuse me, he glide by one side (P.S he hates dogs and cats since they panic him).
His voice is thin and subtle and so inaudible, he had never interrupted anyone and when someone interrupts him, he can hardly manage two words. In fact, he had been married for years and has a child named by his mother, Juan Manuel who is actually smart, tall, blond and distrustful.
Okay, I can't go one. The whole story is four or five pages telling us about Luke and stories of him in the buses and the one thing I really don’t like about the story is that it has no ending, I am pretty sure you are already bored to death and uninterested. The end that can i describe about this story

THE SECRET LIFE of WALTER MITTY by James Thurter
"The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" tells the story of the aging Walter Mitty on a trip into town with his overbearing wife, Mrs. Mitty. Walter is inept at many things; he is an absent-minded driver, he can't handle simple mechanical tasks, and he forgets things easily. What makes Walter exceptional is his imagination. While Walter goes through a day of ordinary tasks and errands, he escapes into a series of romantic fantasies, each spurred on by some mundane reality. As he drives his car, he imagines he is commanding "a Navy hydroplane" through a terrible storm (1). When he rides past a hospital, he imagines he is a world-famous surgeon saving a VIP's life. When he hears a newsboy shouting about a trial, he imagines he is a crack shot being interrogated in the courtroom. As he waits for his wife to finish at the hairdresser's, Walter sees pictures of German plane and imagines he is a British pilot willing to sacrifice his life for his country. Lastly, as Mitty waits outside against a wall for his wife to buy something in a drugstore, he fantasizes that he is a bold and brave man about to be shot by a firing squad. The story ends with the inscrutable Walter Mitty awaiting this romantic death.
A FAMILY by Guy de Maupassant
A Family. This story is quite similar to me because we have best friends in the world that cannot be turn into anything else. I am also experience the same thing which is having a best friend for so many a long times. We can do anything together and know when both of us having some problem. Back to the story, I think George was surprised with the change on his best friend and his marriage. He was also surprised that Simon has five children and how he adopts all this marriage things. I think many people that are still single will think on that way of the negative things about marriage but I think Simon is happy with his wife and his children even his wife is ugly and older than him. They are all he had in this world that cannot be trade into something else. George doesn’t understand yet about marriage. He need to try to accept that his best friend is already changed and has family to take care. Simon doesn’t have time to enjoy himself like he used to be with George. They both grown up and have better things to do. Besides, family is all important to him. George doesn’t have to feel sad about Simon’s life. I am sure Simon knows how to handle it. Besides that, the character of Monsieur is greedy.THE END
'Mango Moods' by Reeta Mani
This story touches my feelings. I am very amazed on how Chitra had suffered and how she uses all her energy to survive. She is very strong women I ever met. She compares her life with mangoes tree that have an upside down life. Although she had suffered a lot from her mother in law, she still dedicated her life towards her mother in law and her husband. Her husband was not really support her and understand her very well. He just seems to agree all of her mother’s saying. As a grown up man, he should protect his wife and defend her when he was abuse internally. I am not saying that he should disobey his own mother but as a husband, how could you see your wife in that kind of miserable person. It is just about the matter of time to get a son. They need to try harder to get a baby and use all the possibilities way to get a baby. Her mother in law should understand on how she really felt inside. She is trying her best way to make everyone else happy. Every sadness and pain that she had, she is never complaining about it. I am very proud on how she survives. Her husband should always with her and accompany her when she goes for a medical checkup. He needs to be a responsible husband and love his wife the way it suppose to be. He can’t just depend on her friend. Ran away from the problem and spending time at the office cannot solve the problem. In my or opinion, they should discuss among them on how to make things getting better. After eight years of marriage, she had gone pregnant and she had all the attention from the world. What kind of justice is that? After suffer so many times, her mother in law trying to make friend with her. She only cared about the baby. I am very happy to see that Chitra is happy when she delivers the baby. Everyone seems happy with that and I am really hoping that her mother in law will stay nice towards her.
The Necklace by Guy de Maupassant
This is one of the stories that you truly must read because it will teach too many lessons as well as an unexpected ending that may actually be so annoying to most of us. Guy de Maupassant is telling us about this beautiful charming girl names Malthide (Madame Loisel) but life wasn't on her side, she was poor and her dreams were always little since she would never realize any of them. She was married to a clerk named Monsieur Loisel; their life was as simpler as a cat can live.
Later on, one night when M. Loisel came home with a big, valuable envelop which was an invitation from the minister to a huge ball. But instead of thanking him and drawing a smile on her face, she was so sad and she seemed annoyed. The reason was because she had nothing to wear; neither a dress, any jewelry nor a shoe, how wretched and miserable was she?!! Her husband was broken hearted and decided to lend her the 400 franc he had saved to buy a gun for a dress. Okay, dress problem was finally solved, now the jewelry, once again she began to cry when the idea came to borrow a necklace from her best friend who was wealthy and so rich. Later, she visited Madame Forestier, who gave her this beautiful elegant necklace; she had done looking perfect and utterly stunning.
The night passed perfectly and at four O'clock in the morning she was leaving with her husband and when she returned back home she couldn’t find her necklace anymore. This was a true disaster, the necklace is made with diamonds and it wasn't hers, she wrote a letter to her friend telling her to give her some time to return the necklace. They searched in every store for a similar necklace till they found one with 34 thousand franc, her husband gave her 18 thousand from his father, he signed checks and paper and finally paid and got the diamond and she turned it back. Unfortunately, they spent a whole ten years working so hard to pay the money back. Mathilde became old, her hands were red, her hair was a mess and her skirts were awful. One day she decided to take a walk in the Champ Elyse when she saw her old friend who lend her the Necklace, she talked with her and told her the whole story and finally Madame Frosterier was pale, the necklace she gave to Mathilde was just an imitation that was worth only 500 franc not 34 thousand franc!!!!!
Hoe miserable life can be, how annoying can someone become, how unfair was life with Mathilde. This story is one of the most emblematic, symbolic and inspiring stories I've ever read. READ IT. Actually, i do not many have knowledge about this story, but i will try my best.
